Saturday shopping day!

Tribe Brooch nO.2

Feminine and a little eccentric brooch with an ethnic touch... My inspiration was Australian Aboriginal art, especially their painting on wood and bones.

How to make a Mannequin Display

For each of us who are engaged in making jewelry,
it is good if you have the mannequin display.
On mannequin display is much easier
to make photos and
to show our jewelry.
Lately, I've thought to get a mannequin display and
see what I found - an excellent tutorial of how I can make it myself!

You can find this excellent tutorial here :)

Inspiration!

Each season brings a variety of forms from nature that can inspire us.
Arriving autumn days bring new inspiration...

In a recent walk I picked a few fruits of the wild pomegranate and made a new necklace, inspired by the beautiful shapes and colors ...

I hope that you will not find new inspiration in coming weeks.
Keep in mind that it don't need to be just shapes and colors:
Leaves rustling under your feet,
a sudden downpour of rain,
the smell of fresh morning ...
cozy warmth of the sun...

Whether you are an artist or not,
I hope that you will be inspired to find beauty in the coming days.

My and my daughter's creative space :)

My daughter had a fever today :(

I wanted to cheer her up and suggested her to make felt beads with me.
Despite the headache, she has accepted with a great enthusiasm :))
While chicken soup for her cooked on the stove, we were drinking tea and made some felt goodies :)

The most important component for this felt goodies, between wool, water and soap, is LAUGHING. We were talking about fun things and recalled
funny events.

These were those moments when you wish to stop time.

Time has passed very quickly and the most important - the fever is gone!

Sometimes the days that start bad

end up happily and with lots of smiles.

Happy day to you!

My creative space - Inspiration

Look at these horned and spooky-looking black creatures. We call them "sea devils".

But, trust me, they really don't deserve this scary name. They are very fragile seeds that river Bojana brings from nearby Skadar Lake to Adriatic Sea. We collect them on the beach, but very rarely (Oh yes, my five-year daughter reminds me to note that this is her little collection :)))

Beauty of the area from which these seeds comes from is simply incredible...

The interesting shapes of these little creatures was my inspiration to make some new beads.

Nature always surprise us with its unrepeatable beautiful forms.
How wonderful!

My creative space today- Decoupage Tutorial

I love decoupage technique so much!
Thought it would be nice to decoupage some wood beads and share the tutorial with you :)

What you'll need:
- napkin
- scissors
- wood beads
- Decoupage glue - you can get this at any department or craft store.

Remove the bottom layers from napkin

Than cut out your motiff

Dot a couple of drops of glue on to the wooden bead

Than place the napkin on the item. Using a soft paint brush, paint applique glue over the napkin. Start from the center and work your way out to the outer edges. Try to work smooth and avoid ripping the napkin.

Apply more pieces if you'd like to and let it dry :))))

This is my first tutorial, I hope it'll be useful :)))
I enjoyed making it!

Here I am!

Yes, I know - long time, no see :)
The time goes so fast for me... kids ,painting, my day job as an Art Director on TV Budva, my jewelry, art workshop for kids.... sometimes it's hard to find a little time and concentration for writting a blogpost.
Last two weeks I've spent in Belgrade (Serbia) and Zrenjanin (eastern part of Serbian province of Vojvodina) together with my husband and kids. My Husband and I were inwited to take part in art-colony in Zrenjanin. We have spent 5 days there. I've never been in Zrenjanin before and really fall in love with that city...
Here are few interesting facts about Zrenjanin:

Zrenjanin is home to the oldest continually operating post office in Serbia, founded in 1737
Zrenjanin is sometimes referred to as The City of Bridges. There are 11 bridges!

And after Zrenjanin, we have spent 2 days in Belgrade (the capitol of Serbia). We went to the Zoo, children's theater, visiting our cousins and so much of walking...
I've found a little time to visit few supply shops. I am showing you some "goodies".

Looking forward to my kids go to park that I could begin making my jewelry with this new supplies :))))
