How to make a Mannequin Display

For each of us who are engaged in making jewelry,
it is good if you have the mannequin display.
On mannequin display is much easier
to make photos and
to show our jewelry.
Lately, I've thought to get a mannequin display and
see what I found - an excellent tutorial of how I can make it myself!

You can find this excellent tutorial here :)

Inspiration!

Each season brings a variety of forms from nature that can inspire us.
Arriving autumn days bring new inspiration...

In a recent walk I picked a few fruits of the wild pomegranate and made a new necklace, inspired by the beautiful shapes and colors ...

I hope that you will not find new inspiration in coming weeks.
Keep in mind that it don't need to be just shapes and colors:
Leaves rustling under your feet,
a sudden downpour of rain,
the smell of fresh morning ...
cozy warmth of the sun...

Whether you are an artist or not,
I hope that you will be inspired to find beauty in the coming days.

My creative space - Inspiration

Look at these horned and spooky-looking black creatures. We call them "sea devils".

But, trust me, they really don't deserve this scary name. They are very fragile seeds that river Bojana brings from nearby Skadar Lake to Adriatic Sea. We collect them on the beach, but very rarely (Oh yes, my five-year daughter reminds me to note that this is her little collection :)))

Beauty of the area from which these seeds comes from is simply incredible...

The interesting shapes of these little creatures was my inspiration to make some new beads.

Nature always surprise us with its unrepeatable beautiful forms.
How wonderful!

My creative space today- Decoupage Tutorial

I love decoupage technique so much!
Thought it would be nice to decoupage some wood beads and share the tutorial with you :)

What you'll need:
- napkin
- scissors
- wood beads
- Decoupage glue - you can get this at any department or craft store.

Remove the bottom layers from napkin

Than cut out your motiff

Dot a couple of drops of glue on to the wooden bead

Than place the napkin on the item. Using a soft paint brush, paint applique glue over the napkin. Start from the center and work your way out to the outer edges. Try to work smooth and avoid ripping the napkin.

Apply more pieces if you'd like to and let it dry :))))

This is my first tutorial, I hope it'll be useful :)))
I enjoyed making it!

Lavender Field Necklace

I've started creating this necklace some time ago.
This is how it looked like in the beginning:

.... and today I've putted all beads and pebbles together.
It looks eccentric but also beautiful and feminine. It can be worn in few different ways. You can see it in my shop
And as all of my jewelry - it's "one of a kind".

I always feel excited when I finish each piece of my jewelry. I'm sure all artists feel that! There's no creativity without excitement :) Do you think so?

Shop update... Green-Blue Sea Flower Brooch

Lately I enjoy to make this crocheted brooches with polymer, glass or some other kind of beads sewed on it. I like that kind of small art-objects...

I've made this brooch by 3 layers sewed together. Two (bigger) layer are crocheted from pigeon blue color and the 3rd layer is crocheted from cotton in shades of yellow, green and blue color.
There is one nice green glass bead sewed on top and a lot on small and delicate green glass beads sewed on one side of brooch.
Find more details in my Etsy shop Artistudios.
